American Osteopathic Board of Anesthesiology (AOA) Oral Exams

The American Osteopathic Board of Anesthesiology (AOA) Oral Exam scheduled to occur in conjunction with the American Osteopathic College of Anesthesiologists (AOCA) conference on September 19-22, 2020 is being rescheduled to next year the tentative dates are between March 26-28, 2021 in conjunction with the American Osteopathic College of Anesthesiologists (AOCA) spring conference.

The AOA believes that COVID-19 is an ongoing public health emergency and that it is essential that AOA not unnecessarily jeopardize the health of physicians seeking certification. The travel restrictions in place and the need for social distancing to protect our candidates, AOBA examiners, and AOA staff from COVID-19 also make it inadvisable to hold the Oral Exam as scheduled.  Consequently, you should proceed in cancelling any travel arrangements made to Phoenix, AZ.

Because the Oral Exam will not have been offered in 2020, we anticipate unusually high demand in Spring 2021.  Having previously registered, you are our priority.  For your convenience, we are securing your registration by applying your 2020 registration fee towards the Spring 2021 Oral Exam with no additional exam administration costs.
