The AOCA Annual Convention - Vital Anesthesia Practice Optimization Review provides educational activities for physician anesthesiologists, fellows, residents, non-physician allied health professionals, and medical students who are interested in anesthesiology. AOCA supports a multi-disciplinary and inter-professional approach to continuing medical education and patient care.

On Demand viewing will be available for participants to view until December 31, 2022. The On Demand registration option does allow attendees to earn  AOA Category 1-A credits.

Accreditation

The American Osteopathic College of Anesthesiologists is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians.

The American Osteopathic College of Anesthesiologists designates this program for a maximum of 31.5 AOA Category 1-A credits and will report CME and specialty credits commensurate with the extent of the physician’s participation in this activity.

Physicians (ACCME) Credit Designation

Amedco LLC designates this live activity for a maximum of 31.50 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. 

Physician Assistants

PAs may claim a maximum of 31.50 Category 1 credits for completing this activity. NCCPA accepts AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ from organizations accredited by ACCME or a recognized state medical society.

Nurse Practitioners

The American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) recognizes the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) as approved accreditors and allow reciprocity for AANPCP continuing education credit. Maximum of 31.50 hours.

Objectives - After Attending This Program You Should Be Able To

  1. identify and implement evidence-based medicine and current guidelines into their current anesthesia practice.
  2. identify and discuss steps to improve their professional career development and personal well-being.
  3. review and discuss new technologies and advances in Anesthesiology and how to incorporate them into their practice.
